Abstract

In this study, we analyzed the pathophysiological mechanism of action of thermal baths. The therapeutical properties of thermal baths waters, the skin diseases and the dermatological interventions which take benefit from thermal baths are also reviewed. Special attention is given to the ways of action of selinium which is essential element of some thermal baths. The mechanisms of thermal baths water action in cellulitis, psoriasis, acne and vessel diseases, are also mentioned.
