THE DILEMMA OF ACCOMPLISHING VAGINAL DELIVERY AFTER CESAREAN SECTION
Abstract
Between January 1986 and December 1990 three hundred and sixty three patients underwent a trial οf labor at our Department. Α hundred and fifty οf them delivered vaginally (41.33%) while two hundred and thirteen underwent a Cesarean section (58.67%). The maternal and perinatal mortality was 0%. Thus, we conclude that vaginal birth after Cesarean section is safe for a considerable number οf patients and that a history οf multiple cesarean sections need not exclude the patient from the option οf vaginal birth.References
