DERMATOLOGICAL APPLICATIONS OF CYCLOSPORINE (CY-A)
Abstract
It is evident that Cyclosporine-A is a potent immunosuppressive agent and may become immensely valuable in the treatment οf cutaneous disease. The mechanism οf action is not fully understood. Well designed clinical and laboratory studies were showed the therapeutic value in a particular disorder. It must be emphasized that the systemic use of the drug is associated with several side effects, including nephrotoxicity. Local topical application reduse these concerns, and make the treatment more safe. Therefore Cyclosporine's use should be followed with monitory, laboratory and clinical control.References
