URGENT RELAPAROTOMY AFTER BILIARY TRACT OPERATIONS

Abstract

Out of 1852 biliary tract operations that were performed during the period between 1982-87, in 17 cases an urgent relaparotomy was considered indispensable. The incidence of the urgent relaparotomy after biliary tract operations was lower than after other operations and their mortality was similar.
